1) Condition:
- Excessive block smoke comes from muffler.
2) Cause:
- The torn intake hose.
3) Diagnosis:
- Scan tool check = No trouble code
- Check the current data using G – Scan.
= The sensor output signal is incorrect.
- Check the airflow sensor assembly – Trouble not found.
- Check the EGR control system – Normal operation.
( EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation).
- Check the intake hoses.
= The intake hose between the turbo charger and the intercooler has been torn.
= After replacing the intake hose the problem has disappeared.
4) Repair Guide:
- Replace the intake hose.
