3) Diagnosis:
  1. Scan tool check = No trouble Code.
  2. Inspect if the Ignition Spark operates or not.
= Inspect the spark when high tension wire cable is disconnected in engine cranking condition: Normal.
  3. Inspect the injector and fuel supplying condition.
= Inspect the sound of injector operation in engine cranking condition = Normal.
= Inspect the fuel pump(sound of fuel pump) = No sound.
  4. Inspect the circuit fuse of the fuel pump.
= Inspect the engine compartment relay and fuse box 20 amperes fuse = The fuse is opened.
= Re-start the engine after replacing the fuse: the fuse is opened again.
  5. Inspect the supplying line in the fuel pump.
= Check for the a short circuit between M36 connector # 5 terminal and body using a Ohm meter = Ohms normal.
= Calculate the resistance in fuel pump = 0 Ohms (Abnormal)
  6. Inspect the fuel pump after removing the fuel pump assembly.
= The wire that supplies power to fuel pump has been damaged.
= Inspect the fuel pump operation using jump wire = Normal operation.
4) Repair Guide:
  1. Repair the wire.
