ATM Shock shifting – short wiring/Hyundai Terracan (HP)

= Some Customer don’t know what’s going on on there  Hyundai Auto, tips for you my brethren, even though that you’re  are not auto technician, don’t be afraid to check your own car, you can search to internet on how to fixed or to check.by the way,may be for the future i will post some procedure on how to pull out and fixed a gadget of an automobile specially Hyundai Cars.

Model: Terracan	Year model: 2004	Mileage: 89123 km
Displacement: 2500cc	Fuel: Diesel	T/A all

Subject: ATM Shock – Wiring

1) Condition:

1. Shock and 3rd hold when shifting the automatic transaxle on the “R” position.

2) Cause:

1. A short circuit between back lamp wiring and Vehicle body.

3) Diagnosis: 

1. Check with Scan tool = No trouble code.
2. Check by Stall test = Normal (“R”) position.
3. Check the fuse related to A/T.
   = The fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box has been opened.
4. After changing the fuse, when moving the shift lever to “R” position, the fuse is opened again.
5. Check the wiring by using multi meter.

pin and socket tips:

• Check for an open circuit between the fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box and the body: 0 ohms (Abnormal)
• Disconnect the MC03 connector infinite  ohms (Normal)
• Check the MC03 connector between the line # 5 and the body: Abnormal.
• Disconnect the MR01 connector : Infinite ohms (Normal)

   6   Visually check the wiring from the MC03 connector to the MR01 connector 
     = The open circuit is found between the back lamp wiring and vehicle body.
4) Repair Guide:

1. Repair the wiring by taping the open wire.
