Engine stalling/Santa Fe(SM)

model: Santa Fe year model: 2004 mileage: 110200 mk
Displacement: 2700cc Fuel: Gasoline T/A
Subject: Engine Stalling – junction block
1) Condition:
  1. Intermittent Engine stalling during driving.
2) Cause:
  1. Poor contact of the Engine junction block
3) Diagnosis:
  1. Inspect each sensor and inputted actuator power in IG(ignition key) “ON” condition.
    = Inspect the supplied power to injector: The power is not supplied to injector.
    = Inspect the supplied to idle speed control actuator.
    = The power is not supplied.
  2. Inspect engine control relay.
    = Inspect resistance and contact point after removing the control relay: Normal.
    =
    Inspect the supplied power to control relay ( # 1 terminal and # 3 terminal): 12 volt ( Normal)
    = No signal when checking the #2 terminal.
  3. The detached #8 terminal from connector is found when inspect the ER/E connector.
4) Repair Guide:
  1. Repair the junction blonck wire pin.
