Study and General Description

Study Guide The CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) system is installed to the chain sprocket of the intake camshaft. Study This system controls the intake camshaft to provide the optimal valve timing for every driving condition. Study The ECM controls the Oil Control Valve(OCV), based on the signals output from mass air flow, throttle position and engine coolant temperature. Study The CVVT controller regulates the intake camshaft angle using oil pressure through the OCV. Study As result, the relative position between the camshaft and the crankshaft becomes optimal, and the engine torque improves, fuel economy improves, exhaust emissions decrease under overall driving conditions.

DTC Description

When ECM detects open in the OCV(Bank 1-IN) control circuit, ECM sets DTC P0075.

  3. = there a lot of testing from different module like , PDM Power Distribution Module,IPM In panel Module and check the electrical system from the GDS for starting system but still the same,
  4. Until check the LH I/P fuse box with new the engine start.

Study The normal operating temperature of the HO2S(Heated Oxygen Sensor) ranges from 350 to 850°C(662 to 1562°F). Study The HO2S heater greatly decreases the amount of time required for fuel control to become active. Study The ECM provides a pulse width modulated control circuit to adjust current through the heater. When the HO2S is cold, the value of the resistance is low and the current in the circuit is high. Study On the contrary, if the temperature in the resistor of the sensor rises, the current drops gradually.

Study If the sensor output is below 0.06 V under enable conditions, ECM sets DTC P0131.

( This DTC might be caused by the malfunction of Heater circuit, so, check the heater circuit first. )

Study Guide The signal waveforms of front HO2S(the lower) and heater(the upper) at idle

Study The output voltage of front HO2S is changed continuously accroding to air/fuel ratio, ECM controls fuel amount based on this value. Preheating is necessary for HO2S normal operation. Study Therefore heater unit is installed in HO2S, ECM can control air/fuel ratio with the output signal of HO2S simultaneous with engine run by reducing preheating time. Study ECM controls heater with duty cycle. Study HO2S' power source is main relay and ECM operates heater by ground control.

How to repair room lamp intermittent blinked on Hyundai Genesis

This Auto repair and Study guide gives some real experiences on field, Yesterday i’ve been Encounter trouble from Hyundai Genesis regarding on inside light and control panel light blinking.

Model: Hyundai Genesis

Year Model: 2010

Fuel: Gasoline

Displacement: 4600cc

1) (Auto repair and Study guide) Subject:

  • intermittent Room lamp,Control panel,DIS(Driver Information System) blinked Hyundai Genesis(BH) .

2) (Auto repair and Study guide) Cause:

  • Poor contact of engine compartment junction block connector.

3) Diagnosis As Auto repair and Study guide.

  1. Scan tool check to check the code as Study guide= No trouble found
  2. Check for short circuit between # 16  and body after disconnecting E/R E1A connector using ohm meter.
    = When checking with the wire shaken the, the resistance value changes –0  ohms ~ 239m ohms
  3. Disconnect the E/R – M connector in passenger compartment junction block.
    = The resistance value changes when shaking the wire.
  4. Perform a driving test after retightened the terminal pin # 16 and other pin at E/R E1A connector = Normal
