How to repair the engine cranking but not start.

Model: Hyundai Azera (TG)

Year Model: 2009

Fuel: Gasoline

Displacement: 3300cc

Subject: Engine cranking but not starting.

1) Condition

  1. Engine cranking but not starting.

2) Cause

  1. Due to fuel pump O-ring misassembling to the right position.

3) Diagnosis

  1. Scan tool check
    = No trouble found.
  2. Actuation test throu GDS
    =Spark from ignition coil = OK
    = Fuel pump too low fuel pressure = Bad 
  3. Check and pull out the fuel pump assembly.
    = The O-ring from the pump misassembling to the right position.

4) Parts Replace

  1. Replace Oring.

Subject: Sometimes all lights suddenly dimming and Automatic transmission shock shifting while driving specially when the engine hot.

1) Condition

  1. Sometimes all light suddenly dimming on driving.
  2. Automatic transmission shock shifting sometimes.

2) Cause

  1. Engine compartment fuse box bolt loosed.

3) Diagnosis

  1. Scan tool check.
    = No trouble code
  2. Check for the ground terminal.
  3. Clean and and re-fixed ground terminal.
  4. check fuse box
    =3 Bolt from engine compartment fuse box loosed.
  5. retightened bolt and not.

How to repair communication error on GDS.

How to repair communication error on DGS?

Model: Hyundai Azera(TG)

Year Model: 2009

Fuel: Gasoline

Displacement: 3300cc

Subject: GDS(Global Diagnostic System) Communication error.

1) Condition

  1. GDS can not communicate with ECM.

2) Cause

  1. Open circuit in DLC (Data Link Connector) K-Line wire.

3) Diagnosis

  1. Check the fuse related to ECM – Normal.
  2. Check the DLC connector pin – Normal.
  3. Check the K-Line, communication terminal using oscilloscope in GDS.
    = No output signal detected (Spec. 5V in IG “ON” condition).
  4. 5V output signal from K- Line terminal that is connected to multi-purpose check connector.
  5. Check for a circuit between DLC K-Line and MCC K-Line with multi meter = open circuit.

4) Guide to Repair

  1. Repair DLC wire.
  2. Communication OK.

Subject: Intermittently impossible to start – Battery terminal

1)Condition

  1. Intermittently impossible to crank the engine.
  2. When the ignition key is turn “ON” the instrument light cluster indicator light is not turn on.

2) Cause

  1. Loosed battery terminal(+)

3) Diagnosis

  1. Inspect the battery using battery checker
    = Battery voltage is 12.5 V
    = CCA ( Cold Cranking Ampere)Test = Good Battery
  2. Inspect the battery contact point of the battery terminal.
    =Bolt for fixing the (+) terminal is not tightened well.

How to repair in operative back-up lamp?

Sorry for 3 days not to give some information about some trouble i have encountered due to my training in Dubai with 3 days.ok what’s going now?

Model: Hyundai Santa Fe

Year Model: 2004

Fuel: Gasoline

Displacement: 2000cc

Subject: In operative back up lamp – water sensor

1) Condition

Rear back-up lamp doesn’t operate when the shift lever is in “R” position.

2) Cause

  1. Malfunction of the water separator sensor at fuel filter.

3) Diagnosis

  1. While cranking the engine in the morning ,the fuse(10A0 for back-up lamp/water separator sensor is opened intermittently.
    - The symptom is not happened when restarting after driving.
  2. After replacing the fuse (10A), the water separator indicator light illuminates dimly in the key ‘ON’ position.
  3. If the gnition key is switch “ON” and “OFF” for ten times, the fuse is opened again.
  4. Check the water separator sensor.
    = The sensor resistance is lower than the normal.
  5. Malfunction of the water separator sensor.
    =
    After replacing the water separator sensor, the problem is solved.
    (Fuel water separator indicator light  in cluster instrument  illuminates dimly)
    (Abnormal water separator sensor)

4) Parts Replace

Subject: Engine not starting but cranking
1) Condition
  1. Engine cranking but not starting.
  2. Switch on the key and try to shift from “P” to “R” cannot shift.
  3. Door center lock system not working.
2) Cause
  1. I/P fuse box
3) Diagnosis
  1. Scan tool  check = DGS cannot communicate.
  2. visually check = Not original floor mat.
  3. Check fuses from engine compartment = OK
  4. Check fuses from I/P fuse box some fuse no current.
  5. Check the fuse connector and socket = The problem found fron I/P H Front connector loosed.

How to Repair the Automatic Transmission Not Shifting

How to repair the automatic transmission not shifting.

Model: Centennial LZ

Year Model: 2006

Fuel: Gasoline

Displacement: 3500cc

Subject: Automatic Transmission not shifting.

1) Condition

  1. Automatic transmission moving on drive position.
  2. excessive shock shifting in reverse position.

2) Cause

  1. Trans axle Switch.

3) Diagnosis

  1. Scan tool check
    = P0705 Transaxle range switch.

    The TCM monitors this voltage,which corresponds to the position of the transaxle gear shift lever to determine desired gear and electronic pressure control pressure. The transaxle range switch is located on the top of the transaxle ,and also contains the neutral/start circuit.
  2. Check the transaxle range switch service data
    a) connect G_Scan to data link connector.
    b) Check the transaxle range switch output when at its position.
    IS there Continuity? 
    NO or YES=Problem is intermittent check the transaxle control cable.

  3. Check the transaxle range switch connector.
    a)
    Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the transaxle range switch connector.
    b) Check that the transaxle range switch connector for loosed, poor connection,bent ,corrosion,contamination, deterioration or damage.
    Is there continuity? 
    YES  or NO= repair or replace as necessary.

  4. Check the transaxle range switch continuity
    1)
    Disconnect the transaxle range switch connector.
    2) Check for continuity between terminal 3 and terminal 8,9,10 when the shift lever position “ P”
    3) Check for continuity between terminal 7 and terminal 8when set the shift lever position to “R”
    4) Check the continuity between terminal 4 and terminal 8,9,10 When set the shift lever position “N:
    5) Check for continuity between terminal 1 and terminal 8 when set the shift lever position “D”
    6) Check for the continuity between terminal 5 and terminal 8 when set the shift lever position ‘3’.
    7) Check for continuity between terminal 2 and terminal 8  when the shift lever position 2.
    8) Check for continuity between terminal6 and 8 when set the shift lever position” L”

    Is there continuity?
    YES        NO= Repair or replace as necessary.

  5. Check the transaxle range switch harness.
    1)
    Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the transaxle range switch connector.
    2) Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3) Measure the voltage between the transaxle range switch connector terminal 8 and body ground.
    Is there voltage?
    YES         NO=Repair or replace as necessary.

  6. Check the transaxle range switch harness
    1)
    Turn the switch off and disconnect the transaxle range switch connector and TCM connector.
    2) Check the continuity between the transaxle range switch connector terminal 1 and the TCM harness connector terminal D2/C17.
    3) Check the continuity between the transaxle range switch connector terminal 2 and the TCM harness connector terminal D22/C18.
    4) Check the continuity between the transaxle range switch connector terminal 3 and the TCM harness connector terminal D1/C5.
    5) Check the continuity between the transaxle range switch connector terminal 4 and the TCM harness connector terminal D21/C6.
    6) Check the continuity between the transaxle range switch connector terminal 5 and the TCM harness connector terminal D9/C7.
    7) Check the continuity between the transaxle range switch connector terminal 6 and the TCM harness connector terminal D10/C8.
    8) Check the continuity between the transaxle range switch connector terminal 7 and the TCM harness connector terminal D8/C16.
    Is there continuity?
      YES         NO= Repair or Replace as Necessary

  7. Replace The TCM
    1)
    Disconnect the battery (-) terminal and disconnect the TCM connector.
    2) Replace the TCM.
